THREE ACT THEATRE

A Generationally Rich Theatre Company

Our Vision

Everything we do, we believe in creating a better world for the generations that follow. A world that recognizes we are one planet, one consciousness, one human race. We believe in being that change.

The way we’re making a better world is by creating opportunity for generations of human beings to learn from each other – to work side by side in each act of their life. We’re making a better world by finding new stories for these generations to tell. Stories that break down our borders and confront us with the truth. We’re making a better world by rediscovering classic tales whose lessons have yet to be truly learned.

Three Act Theatre is a company of artists that have come together to make change and leave the world better than we found it. . . we just happen to make great theatre. Isn’t it time we change together?

Three Act Theatre is a professional company of artists seeking to pass down the tradition of live theatre to generations of emerging talent through education & performance opportunity. Three Act Theatre is dedicated to the development of new works, the new exploration of treasured classics, and the kind of storytelling in each that challenges us to imagine and create a world in which we wish to live.

‘A Brand New World’ is an original musical, set in 1941 New York as the
Balbier family is just arriving in America, having escaped Hitler on the last train out of Nuremberg, Germany. The family moves into 1795 Riverside Drive with Uncle Eddie & Aunt Mary, who care for Stephanie like their own daughter, while helping her parents settle in to their new American life. As the backdrop of war rages on, we see her at age 15 making her way in a
new school, with a new language, and new friendships to make that are about to change her world forever. Over the course of the next 4 years of the war, we see three best friends come of age and enter the workforce as they send their young men off to war. By 1945, everything has changed, nothing will ever be the same again…who knows what the future holds?!?

A Benefit Concert  –  “An Evening of Rising Stars”

May 19, 2018 –  tickets on sale April 10, 2018
Meridian Risk Management: 1 Wolfs Ln, Pelham, NY 10803

This concert event will directly impact our Summer Immersion Program and allow us to continue to offer scholarship support to talented teens with need of financial support or a complete inability to pay. YOU have given us so much support and love to make this work possible! Please join us in Pelham, NY this spring as we celebrate our talented teen artists in concert as they rise to become the shining STARS that they are!

Making live theatre is a very expensive endeavor, but is life changing for both the young artists we are training AND the adult artists that are mentoring them along their journey. We hope that once our work hits the stage, it has a life changing effect on our audiences as well!

Mole Town: An Underground Love Story

by Courtney Christison & Joshua Lattimore
AEA Stage Reading: January 22, 2018 @ 7:30pm
Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre

Mole Town: An Underground Love Story takes place in an underground village located in the abandoned Subway tunnels below the streets of present day Manhattan. We meet the quirky Mole People, including Cruise, the town’s leader, and Will & Jazz, two siblings that Cruise has adopted and raised below ground as his own. When one finally gets the chance to go on a solo mission to the surface, their world is suddenly turned upside down. Will the call of adventure outweigh the duty and traditions of their family’s way of life? Come to Mole Town and see what unfolds.
